Teenie Weenie Tiny Tears

Tiny Tears (16"), Teenie Tiny Tears (12"), and Teenie Weenie Tiny Tears (9") are a series of dolls produced by American Character Doll Company. All the sizes and multiple spellings of the names make these dolls confusing.  My sister has two of the Teenie Weenie Tiny Tears dolls dated 1964.  Neither doll needs repair and are included to illustrate some doll clothing from the 1960's as well as some of the accessories available for the dolls.

This is the doll that was purchased at a doll show. Her hair is in much better shape. I would guess that it wasn't shampooed often (perhaps ever).

The drinking and crying actions take place here.

The back of the doll has lots of fine scratch marks on it. I've seen these same marks on other dolls of this type. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing thing or just the result of metal snaps on clothing abrading the soft plastic body (presumably it is the later).
